The summer schedule will be in effect from July 5, 2027 through August 27, 2027.

Monthly tuition reserves your weekly lesson time and is based on the full school-year calendar, not on the number of lessons in a particular month. During July and August, students only pay for the lessons they take.

PAYMENT POLICY

Tuition is due monthly and must be submitted no later than the 7th of each month.

Accepted payment methods include Zelle, Venmo, check, cash, and PayPal.

A $25 late fee per student will be added to payments received on or after the 15th of the month.

ATTENDANCE & MAKE-UP POLICY

Your monthly tuition guarantees a reserved weekly lesson time.

To qualify for a make-up lesson, at least 36 hours’ notice is required.

Same-day cancellations are considered late cancellations. Two same-day cancellation make-up lessons per school year will be allowed and will be conducted online.

No make-up lesson will be provided for a no-show.

Lessons may be conducted in person or remotely.

Students are encouraged to participate in auditions, evaluations, competitions, exams, festivals, and other musical opportunities throughout the year.

Students will also have the opportunity to participate in the annual spring recital scheduled for Sunday, April 4, 2027.

Thank you for your commitment to musical growth and excellence.
I look forward to another wonderful year of music making together!.

6 Practicing steps:

Clap and count

Finger and count.

Finger and Articulate (sing)

Finger, articulate and count (foot)

Play! (use 5 penny game, playing more correct repetitions.)
Set 5 pennies on the left side of the music stand. Each time they play the passage correctly, they move one penny to the right side of the stand. Every time they play it wrong, all the pennies have to go back to the left side. The goal is to get 5 pennies (or M&Ms or Skittles) to the right side of the stand.

*If your assigned music has not been learned after a 2 week period, you will be required to record yourself playing it every single day, and sending me a copy every night until it's done.

Please remember to fill out your practice log every day after you have completed your daily practice.

You will receive 1 sticker for practicing at least 4 times per week.

You will receive 2 stickers for practicing at least 6 times per week.

Your weekly lesson can count as one day of practice.

Do not let the discipline of music get in the way of the joy of music making. Yes, it is hard. Yes, it can be frustrating. But the joy students experience when they really get into a particular piece of music is something that can rarely be duplicated. Like anything in life, you get out of it what you put into it.

My goal as a private instructor is to help my students be the best they can be. I will help you have FUN with playing your instrument, and inspire you to make heart felt music. The quest for excellence is a lifelong process, but keep in mind that it is attainable for ANYONE! That is up to us to achieve, because if you think you can, or if you think you can’t you are absolutely right!

Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. Looking forward to a great school year!

After you have carefully read and understood the above policy, should you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me I’m more than happy to discuss your questions with you. 😊
